Mintl’s sole mission is to drastically reduce the use of single-use plastic dental flossing products. Millions of people are accustomed to the ease that comes along with using single-use disposable flosser picks but recognize how much plastic waste they create when throwing out each flosser after just one use. We proudly provide our customers with a much more sustainable and environmentally-friendly method for keeping teeth clean and healthy by offering the world’s first permanent, fully reusable, AND recyclable flosser.
Origin Story
It started with a simple but frustrating observation—disposable floss picks were everywhere. Scattered across sidewalks, parking lots, hiking trails, and even floating in waterways, they had become “the new cigarette butt.” No matter where we lived—city streets, quiet suburbs, or rural backroads—the problem was the same everywhere. We noticed many scenes like the one pictured to the left.
We knew flossing was important, but did convenience and ease of use have to come at the cost of so much plastic waste? Determined to find a better way, we set out to create a solution that was both effective and sustainable. The result? A reusable dental flosser that reduces plastic waste by more than 94%—a small but meaningful step toward a cleaner world.
Because good habits shouldn’t come at the expense of the planet.
